The Single Story Foundation each year undertakes an array of projects and services to provide the optimum opportunity for writers of African descent to be able to put their stories out there, thereby combating present stereotypes.

African Literary Magazines

Our African Literary Magazines directory caters to writers, artistes and creative people of African descent as they seek the publication of their work. We seek to provide them enough resources for them to be able to tell their stories efficiently.

Publication

We publish two publications yearly, a journal and a magazine. Please check both out before submitting to us to determine which publication is best suited for your work. Look out for our submission calls.

Education

We organize American and European literary tours to drive discussion, showcase movies and documentaries, promote other visual storytelling projects, and support writers of African descent through book readings and book signings.
